Portable Bullet Trap option for pistol Magnum calibers and Rifle 5.56 and 7.62mm. It offers a quick, safe setup and deployment. It is made from steel for exceptional durability, and UNLIKE others it includes a high quality 2″ ballistic rubber panel, self -healing, positioned in front of the steel cage that will slow down the rounds enough to be then stopped completely by the filler made of ballistic rubber fragments, and ultimately by the heavy steel back-plate. In most cases and depending on the bullet energy, the bullet will be stopped completely before even reaching the backplate, hence no bullet fragmentation nor lead dust. However, when used with high power rounds that will eventually reach and strike the backplate, the front rubber face (if not significantly damaged) will keep the trap enclosed so the potential lead dust generated will be trapped inside instead of polluting the environment !!! Also, UNLIKE others, the armor steel back-plate, screw-tight, can be easily removed to be replaced or upgraded to a thicker plate or just removed to access and retrieve the bullet fragments inside the trap. Note: The life of the ballistic rubber panel will be highly dependent on the caliber and type of bullet used. The FMJ type rounds will not be as destructive to the front panel’s life as the FTX, HP, XTP or SP bullets. .
